Horicon Bank Donates $15,000 to Environmental Causes

Waukesha County Green Team is pleased to be one of the recipients of a $1,000 donation from Horicon Bank!

Horicon Bank announced their donation of $15,000 to 15 different community causes, all dedicated to benefiting the environment.

Horicon Bank president Fred C. Schwertfeger says the contribution is made in honor of their customers' response to the bank’s recent eStatement campaign which encouraged choosing a greener option for monthly bank statements.

“As a company committed to sustainability, we are thrilled to see our customers embrace digital statements, reducing paper waste and contributing to a healthier planet,” said Schwertfeger. “This initiative not only reflects our dedication to environmental stewardship but also highlights the collective effort of our community in making a positive impact.”

The 15 community causes receiving donations were chosen by bank employees of each community. The causes range from conservation projects to educational programs on sustainability.

“Each organization plays a vital role in fostering a greener future, and we are honored to support their work with these donations,” said Schwertfeger.
