About the event

How is our environment being affected by our rapidly changing political climate?  What role does recent legislation have on our abilities to predict weather, keep our national forests and parks intact, develop renewable energy sources, and enter into international agreements regarding carbon emissions?

These questions and more will be explored when Greener Oconomowoc welcomes Casey Hicks, Wisconsin Conservation Voters’ Government Affairs Manager, who will update guests about the effects of state and federal legislation on our environment. We will explore both recent and proposed laws that affect our abilities to track weather, keep our natural areas intact, develop renewable resources, enter into international agreements to lower carbon emissions and much more. Come to find out how current environmental issues have a bearing on our wellbeing and safety.
