Join us for a conversation about Nature’s Best Hope by Doug Tallamy at the Pauline Haass Public Library, co-hosted by WCGT. Registration is required.


Book summary: Ever wonder what would happen if the self-sustaining local food webs on which we humans depend collapsed? To date, we’ve grassed, mowed, cleared, paved, and developed 95% of the lower 48 states. We’ve imported thousands of species of plants, insects, and diseases from other lands which have decimated many of our native plant communities on which these food webs and ultimately human food depend. The good news is that it is not too late for recovery. Nature's Best Hope shows how homeowners everywhere can turn their yards into conservation corridors that provide and protect wildlife habitats.
