There is a movement in Waukesha County of communities working toward becoming Certified Community Wildlife Habitats! Join us on March 19 at 12:00pm for a Lunch and Learn Webinar, and learn why! Presenter Nicci Sternitzky will present on the process and journey of becoming certified, and how it has benefited both the Village of Elm Grove and surrounding communities.

The National Wildlife Federation's Community Wildlife Habitat™ program partners with cities, towns, counties, neighborhoods, and communities of all kinds while connecting to existing work around flood resiliency, community resiliency, urban forestry, water conservation, beautification, and more.

Community Wildlife Habitats develop volunteer bases and community ties while landscaping with pollinators in mind, promote the use of native trees and plants, work to reduce or eliminate the use of pesticides and chemicals, and help develop networks to manage invasive species.

There are currently municipal and citizen certification…
