Greener Oconomowoc is organizing a field trip to learn more about Agro-Forestry, an innovative practice of planting crops between rows of trees. Space is limited to 30.

About the event


GO will be touring the Ravensholme Farm Preserve which is associated with Tall Pines Conservancy.  The farm is located at W270S5745 River Rd, Waukesha, WI.


A tour will begin at 5:30 PM, Wednesday May 14th (rain date is Friday May 16th). 

 

Paul Meuer, TPC's Land Protection Manager will give a brief indoor presentation, followed by an outdoor hike (one-quarter mile) where everyone will have the opportunity to explore an Agro-Forestry demonstration site. Views of an Oak Savanna and Fox River riparian corridor restoration area will be included.
